Uninstalr is an easy-to-use, fast, lightweight, and very accurate software uninstaller for Windows.
History
I have been involved with many things about the Windows operating system. Back in the 1990’s, I made a registry cleaner app called RegCleaner which evolved to become a Windows utility suite called jv16 PowerTools.
Throughout the time developing those apps, I realized that Windows doesn’t care about what happens when you install something or when you remove it. Basically, the app or game you are installing has almost free hands to do whatever it wants during the installation. It can create files almost anywhere, it can change almost anything, and so on.
I also noticed that when you uninstall using Windows’ own built-in feature, there will still be leftover files remaining inside your system. Over time they’ll accumulate, take up a lot of space in your system, and eventually slow it down.
One might think “Surely third party alternatives work better than that?”. I had the same thought myself and did some research on popular software uninstallers available in the market. Unfortunately, the answer is no.
This is why I decided to develop my own uninstaller app, Uninstalr. My goal with Uninstalr is to create the best uninstaller ever made. With an easy-to-use interface, and a very accurate scan system that allows you to uninstall apps without any leftover muck, unattended batch uninstallation ability, and most importantly without any nonsense and additional bloatware.
Now, you might be skeptical of the claim that Uninstalr is the best uninstaller. That’s good – you shouldn’t take anything anyone says on the internet for granted anyway. This is why I’ve done a benchmark test to prove my claim. I encourage you to do the same and see for yourself.
